Problem

Whole Foods has an extensive commitment to environmental protection however our customer base is not aware of these goals. We want to display our stewardship externally in a meaningful and genuine way.

Insight

Environmental action today can get lost due to it’s populatiy and following in pop culture. With so much noise about what brands are working on, the real work is never seen. For consumers to truely see their impact on helping the environment, their impact must be felt on a personal level.

Concept Statement

Zero Cost Zero Waste

Every time you shop at Whole Foods, you are given a paper or digital receipt. Receipts are sometimes kept or thrown away forever. While this list of purchased goods may seem meaningless, a receipt from Whole Foods in many ways impacted the environment without the shopper even realizing.
